Golden Egg Donation is a small agency in Los Angeles, and this is the plain version of what happens to what you tell us. It covers this website, the forms on it, the emails the platform sends, and the private portal that approved parents sign in to. It does not cover your clinic, your doctor or your lawyer. They hold their own records under their own rules.
What you tell us
Nearly everything we hold is something a person typed into one of our forms. If you are an intended parent, that is your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, where you are in the process, your clinic if you have chosen one, and whatever you write in your own words. If you are applying to be a donor, it is a great deal more: how to reach you, your date of birth, physical details, your education, your own health history and your family's, and photographs if you choose to send them. We ask for all of it because the clinics and the parents ask us for it. Sending it is still your choice, and nothing reaches us until you press the last button on the form. If you are writing with a question, it is your name, your email address and your message.
What we collect without asking
Very little, and none of it inside the portal. The public pages count visits without cookies and without knowing who you are. The portal and the admin have no analytics at all. That was decided before a line of either was written and it is not going to change. When you sign in to the portal we set one cookie so the site remembers it is you. That is the only cookie the portal uses. There is no advertising anywhere on this site, and nothing here is watching you on behalf of somebody else.
What we do with it
We answer you. Alexis reads every inquiry and every application herself, so what you write is read by a person before it is anything else. If you are applying to be a donor and she takes it further, your answers become the working file behind your profile, and later the profile that approved parents read. If you are a parent we approved, we use your email address to let you in, and we keep your shortlist and your searches so the portal is still where you left it. We never use what you tell us to advertise to you. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it. There is no version of this agency where your information is the product.
Who sees it
Alexis and the small team at the agency, and the companies listed below that run parts of the platform for us. Nobody else. Your inquiry is not shown to donors. A donor's application is not shown to parents. What an approved parent sees in the portal is the profile the agency built and published, and nothing sitting behind it.
The companies that help us run this
Each of these is a company we pay to do one job, under a contract that says they may not use what passes through it for anything else. Vercel hosts the website. Supabase holds the database and the photographs, on servers in the United States. Bunny Stream holds the donor videos. Resend sends the platform's email: sign-in codes, confirmations, and the notes that come from the site rather than from Alexis's own mailbox. Anthropic runs the assistant that helps a parent search the registry. It is given the published profiles and the question asked, so that it can point at the right donors. What we send it is not used to train anything. If we ever add another, this list changes the same day.
How donor information is protected
This is the part the whole platform is built around. No donor profile, photograph or video is ever on a public page, and none of it is in any search engine. None of it can be reached by a link on its own. A photograph is served on an address that stops working within the hour, and a video will not play without a signed session behind it. Donors appear to parents under a display name rather than their own. A donor's legal name is kept in a separate place that only the agency can read, and it never appears in a web address, a file name or a log. The portal opens only to an email address Alexis has approved. When she removes someone, the door closes at once rather than at the end of their session.
Photographs
A photograph you send with an application goes from your browser straight into private storage that only the agency can open. It is never on a public address, not even for a moment, and our own server never holds a copy of the file. Photographs sent with an application stay in your file. They become part of a donor profile only if you join the registry and we build one, and even then they are seen only by parents we have approved. If you would rather we did not keep them, say so and they are deleted.
How long we keep things
Inquiries and questions: while they are live, and afterwards as our record of what was said. Donor applications: for as long as you might come back to us, because women often do. If you ask us to delete yours, we delete it. Donor profiles: while you are on the registry. When you stop donating we archive the profile rather than delete it, because donors do return, and an archived profile is invisible to parents from the moment it is archived. If you would rather it were gone than archived, say so and it goes, photographs and video with it. Nothing on this platform deletes itself on a timer. A person decides, and the decision is written down.
What you can ask us for
Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask for a copy and we will send it. Ask us to correct something and we will correct it. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will, unless it is a record we are required to keep. Write to info@goldeneggdonation.com. There is no form for this and no account to close. It is an email to a person, and you will not be treated any differently for sending it. If you live in California, the law gives you those rights by name. We would answer either way. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing here for you to opt out of.
We are not your clinic
Golden Egg Donation is an agency, not a medical practice. The health history you give us is held by us under this policy, and by your clinic under theirs. The two are separate. Your care, your test results and your treatment records belong to your doctors, and nothing on this page changes what they do with them.
Keeping it safe
There are no passwords on this platform, so there is no password of yours for anybody to steal. Signing in is a code sent to your email address, good once. Donor files and photographs sit in private storage, and the rules about who may read them are enforced by the database itself rather than by the website. That way a mistake on a page cannot open a door. No system is beyond reach, and we would rather say so than promise otherwise. If anything ever happened to information of yours, you would hear it from us.
Children
This site is for adults. Donors are 18 to 32, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anybody younger. If you think a child has sent us something, write and we will take it out.
When this page changes
The date at the top is the day it last changed. If we ever change something that matters to you, we will say what it was rather than quietly move the date.
